Competition is growing among litigators, there are more and more players on the market, and litigation has become the main practice for most law firms. Pravo.ru has prepared its fifth survey of the litigation market in Russia. It includes the most successful law firms in the field of litigation - the most highly competitive branch of legal consulting, according to market participants. In addition to those who have taken leading positions in dispute resolution, the survey highlights the law firms involved in the largest number of cases, the companies with the most expensive lawsuits, with the largest amount of claims and with the highest percentage of victories in courts.

A.T.Legal was included in Group II of the federal study of the best law firms in Russia (more than 300 companies) with the number of cases up to 30.

The main trends in judicial representation in 2021 are the following:

• The Business Environment Conflict Index went up sharply at the turn of 2020-21. This trend has affected both commercial and corporate disputes. In the segment of commercial disputes is marked by an increased demand for large recoveries from contractual relations and situations of unjust enrichment and, on the contrary, a demand for the revision of contractual obligations, the further execution of which becomes too unprofitable for one of the parties.
• The bankruptcies of major banks that have occurred in the last few years have acted as a trigger for many court cases, which, given the procedural features, have reached an active phase in 2020-2021.
• The number of bankruptcies is likely to increase as more and more businesses go into debt.
• In unique, complex disputes, the result of which is significant for business, the quality, competence and reputation of the consultant remain in the foreground. In this segment the price is always high, because the main thing does not change even in a pandemic: clients need deep expertise, practical approach and judgment. There is always demand for strategic legal services, and there will always be a corresponding price tag.
• A new aspect develops in the lawyer-client relationship - the growth of the consultant's responsibility. The client sees the litigator as the conductor of the orchestra rather than the first violin. The litigator, in charge of implementing the chosen litigation strategy, is responsible not only for the legal part of the process itself, but also for the quality of execution on the part of other executors: industry experts, appraisers, arbitration administrators. 
• Shifting the center of key decision-making from inhouse lawyers to outside counsel: this leads to an increased level of responsibility of the latter and characterizes the trust level of the client.
